I've never given something up for Lent. But something has been on my mind to do - to try to change something - to make a new habit. And this is a good time to focus on it...
I want to work on communication. I want to NOT say certain things - and TO say other things. I want to work on thoughtful speech. It's not really certain words that I'm not wanting to say. It's just general content. I want to pay more attention to what comes out. This is going to take more than what I have in me. Integral to this change - prayer, power and grace from God. But this is something that I want. That I need. So I'm in.
